It all started on the Royal Mile, back in 1991 and since then, the shop has steadily grown in range and reputation. Today, it is known worldwide as one of the great specialist whisky merchants.
The Whisky
This single malt, finished in a Mezcal cask, takes our house style in a bold new direction - still unmistakably Torabhaig.
On the nose, soft smoke and sea salt brine lead, followed by apple, honeyed cereal and butterscotch. Aniseed, cassia, cut grass and dried tangerine flicker through.
The palate is buttery and smooth. The smoke steps aside for a bold wave of chilli spice, softened by orchard fruit and butter.

The palate has a buttery creamy mouthfeel, the smoke immediately diminished making way for dominant chilli spice which lingers. There are also hints of orchard fresh fruit and butter.
