Binny's Beverage Depot is a family business liquor store chain in Illinois originally founded in 1948. The company operates forty-six retail locations, including eight in Chicago, thirty-three in the surrounding area, and one each in Champaign, Springfield, Peoria, Bloomington, and Rockford.
The Whisky
Matured in a First Fill Madeira cask, this single malt brings a golden warmth to our signature smoke.
Aromas of toasted almonds and burnt orange rise through soft coastal peat. On the palate, juicy stone fruits, candied ginger and a flicker of citrus unfold, balanced by gentle smoke and a lasting hint of spice.
TASTING NOTES
Nose
Soft coastal smoke meets sun-warmed sweetness. Burnt orange peel, toasted almonds and honey-drenched fruitcake rise gently, with a touch of sea spray and spice in the background.
Palate
Lush and mouth-coating. Notes of ripe apricot, candied ginger and golden sultanas weave through our signature peat. A thread of Madeira’s sweetness runs deep - rich but never cloying - lifted by citrus zest and warming oak.
Finish
Lingering and elegant. The smoke recedes slowly, leaving behind dried fruit, gentle pepper and a hint of sea salt - like embers on a windswept beach.
