Torabhaig Distillery Reserve - 100 PPM
Distilled in 2020 from barley peated in the grain to over 100 PPM phenols, and matured in First Fill Bourbon and First Fill Oloroso hogsheads. The point of this release was never just the number - it was to see how much smoke our spirit could carry without losing the fruit, the sweetness, the elegance underneath. The answer, it turns out, is rather a lot.
Distillery Reserve 100 PPM releases this Monday, 27th July at 10am GMT, for Club members first, only from the webshop and the distillery shop.

Nose: Orchard fruits, marmalade and raisins are layered with brown sugar and creamy toffee. Sweet wood smoke intertwines with subtle coastal brine, leading to hints of rain-soaked stone and smouldering peat smoke.
Palate: Rich and oily in texture, with an initial burst of clove, cinnamon and ginger. Ashy peat smoke and earthy notes build, while vibrant citrus brings balance and fresh-ness. As the spice subsides, delicate medicinal undertones reveal themselves, adding complexity to the smoke.
Finish: Long and warming, with lingering ashy smoke and ginger spice. Toasted malt evolves into drying embers, leaving smouldering peat smoke and charred oak.
