Drawn from a single Calvados puncheon after a long, patient journey through our dunnage warehouses, Club Reserve No. 9 is a whisky shaped by time, temperance and the wanderings of smoke. It begins with our heavily peated Scottish Concerto barley - 78ppm in grain - coaxed through a long 72-hour fermentation and shaped by our distinctive 64% cut-point, giving the spirit that familiar Torabhaig backbone: smoky, briny, and full of quiet intent.
After 57 months resting in refill bourbon, we moved the whisky into Calvados wood for another 19 months, letting Highland smoke wander into French orchard sweetness - a meeting of worlds that somehow feels right at home here on Sleat.
First Maturation: Matured in Refill Bourbon Barrels for 57 Months
Second Maturation: Finished in Calvados Puncheon Barrels for 19 months.

Nose: Crisp green apple with gentle peat smoke, light grassy notes and subtle oak spice.
Palate: A sprightly mix of oak spice and crisp green apple layered with peat smoke, moving into a mellower mouthfeel with orchard notes of fruit blossom, spiced apple and pear.
Finish: Youthful acidity and cask strength bring extra spice and a little fiery kick to the smoky finish.
