Club Reserve No.9 is a special one for us - our first ever Calvados-finished expression, shaped by six quiet years in refill bourbon and nineteen bright, apple-tinged months in a Norman oak puncheon. A playful detour in our Smoke with Taste journey, and a whisky that already feels like an important marker in the Torabhaig story.
Bottled at cask strength, non chill-filtered, with no added colouring - just as it should be.
This bottling is only available as part of The Torabhaig Club.
Nose: Crisp green apple with gentle peat smoke, light grassy notes and subtle oak spice.
Palate: A sprightly mix of oak spice and crisp green apple layered with peat smoke, moving into a mellower mouthfeel with orchard notes of fruit blossom, spiced apple and pear.
Finish: Youthful acidity and cask strength bring extra spice and a little fiery kick to the smoky finish.
