Torabhaig Distillery Reserve - Hebridean Whisky Festival Rye Cask Finish (EU)
Our latest Distillery Reserve release represents another exciting chapter in Torabhaig’s journey of whisky exploration. This is our first-ever Rye Cask Finish expression, offering a unique glimpse into the world of The Reivers Distillery, our sister distillery in the Scottish Lowlands.
This single malt whisky was distilled in January 2019, aged in a mix of first-fill and refill Bourbon barrels, and finished in Rye Whisky Casks from The Reivers Distillery. Bottled at batch strength, it showcases the complexity of Torabhaig’s well-tempered peat style, complemented by the spicy character imparted by the Rye Casks.
Crafted using Concerto malted barley, with an in-grain phenols level of 80PPM, and fermented with Pinnacle MG+ yeast, this release is bottled without chill filtration or colouring, preserving its natural depth and character. The residual phenols level of 33.4PPM reflects sits in perfect harmony with the elegant complexities of this whisky.
Limited to just 980 bottles, this Distillery Reserve is a must-have for collectors and whisky lovers seeking something truly special.
