Welcome to Torabhaig, a small, independent distillery part of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. We love exploring subtle, elegant flavours of peat inspired by our beautiful surroundings and thriving community. This is how we create our signature smoke flavours - a house style called ‘smoke with taste’.   • Welcome to the Torabhaig Way

    It’s the Torabhaig way to do things differently. From restoring the old farmstead in Torabhaig into our new distillery and home - the second ever licensed Single Malt Scotch Whisky distillery on the Isle of Skye. To employing local people with new and different perspectives to be our distillers (our Journeyman), training them to be the next generation experts. To championing local businesses in the gift shop, sponsoring the local shinty team or partnering with the National Centre for Gaelic Language and Culture.

The Legacy Series

Our Legacy Series is limited edition releases that document the evolution of our Torabhaig ‘house style’, culminating in the release of our first aged whisky, our 10-year-old. We love exploring the world of peat. Subtle, elegant smoke flavours - or as we like to call them ‘Smoke with Taste’.

A bold maritime dram inspired by the narrow, powerful strip of sea dividing Skye and the mainland. Elegant smoke meets sea-salt freshness - our most expressive Skye whisky yet.

Also known as ‘Hill of Peat’. This is the first chapter to marry our signature smoke with rich sherry depth. A dark, layered dram shaped by Skye - rich, warming, and full of character.

    Behind the Torabhaig distillery is the Sound of Sleat. A narrow powerful strip of sea dividing Skye and the mainland. Called Linne Shleite in Gaelic. And what we've called our latest Legacy Series release.But the wild and rugged Sound of Sleat didn't just inspire our whisky. It also inspired our packaging.We are very proud to have had Ellis O'Connor, an amazing local artist from the Sleat Peninsula, capture the essence of the Sound of Sleat for our label and box.
