The Mossburn Vintage Casks range are a collection of Single Malt Scotch Whiskies each issuing from a strictly limited and select batch of casks. Each numbered release will only ever yield a finite number of bottles. While this means that we can never replicate the particular character of this Single Malt, it also offers an opportunity to sample what we believe to be an exceptional example of the whisky made by one of Scotland’s most
distinguished distilleries.

In the north-east corner of the Spey region, near the town of Keith, the Glentauchers Distillery has several substantial stone-built buildings with two traditional pagoda roofs, the view slightly spoiled by the unsightly still house tucked around the corner.  The distillery has six stills and six wooden wash-backs.  10 years in Hogsheads has given this whisky a delightful golden colour with a solid malty cereal nose; some spice rather than flowers and a little oaky vanilla coming through.  Rich and oily on the palate, dried fruits and a tingle of tannin on the finish.

This select Single Malt Scotch Whisky has been bottled without any colouring or chill filtration.
