Nose: Rich and inviting, with aromas of dried figs, raisin bread and dark fruits. A subtle thread of cigar-box smoke weaves through the sweetness, adding depth and intrigue.
ㅤ
Palate: A surprisingly dry opening evolves into notes of fruit cake, dates and rich PX-soaked raisins. Gentle oak tannins provide structure, while increasingly figgy notes build through the mid-palate.
ㅤ
Finish: Long and slightly drying, with dark fruit giving way to a pleasantly bitter note of liquorice and charred oak. The peat lingers softly beneath the sherry sweetness.
The Distillery
Welcome to Torabhaig Distillery
Welcome to Torabhaig, a small, independent distillery part of the Sleat Peninsula on the Isle of Skye. We love exploring subtle, elegant flavours of peat inspired by our beautiful surroundings and thriving community. This is how we create our signature smoke flavours - a house style called ‘smoke with taste’.
Exploring Smoke with Taste
Each Torabhaig cask has its own voice - shaped by wood, weather and time - and every so often, one stands apart. These are our single cask bottlings. Rare glimpses into the soul of Torabhaig, where our house style takes on a new accent, a different rhythm. Still unmistakably ‘Smoke with Taste’. Still born of Skye. Just told in a different way.
