A Tale of Twelve Spirits
Inspired by King Robert the Bruce and the long journey of his heart to Melrose Abbey, The Reliquary honours one of Scotland’s most sacred relics. This blend brings together single grain whiskies from five decades, married in a fine oaken cask to create a rich, mature spirit with remarkable depth and harmony.
Taking its name from Archbishop Gavin Dunbar’s infamous 1525 curse upon the Border Reivers, this whisky embodies fiery spirit rather than wrath. Distilled in 2008, it combines grain whiskies finished in French red wine, Cognac and Jamaican rum casks for a complex, indulgent blend.
Believed to be the breath of the gods, the ‘aether’ here represents the celestial air surrounding our warehouses. This blended grain whisky, aged in oloroso sherry hogsheads and distilled over 21 years from the early 1990s, offers a warm, aromatic depth with layers of fruit and oak.
A tribute to the Roman usurper Carausius, Emperor of the North, this whisky celebrates his defiance and mastery. Four single grain whiskies, each from different decades, distilleries and cask types, are brought together to form a refined, balanced blend with notes of wine, sweetness and oak.
Inspired by King James IV’s mighty warship, The Great Michael, once the largest in Europe, this blend mirrors her strength and ambition. A 21-year-old grain whisky married with older Campbeltown malts, finished in second-fill bourbon barrels that once held heavily peated spirit.
Echoing the legend of Scotland’s last dragon slain by de Somerville of Linton, this blend channels fire and courage. A 12-year-old whisky matured in sherry and rum casks, then re-aged in peated single malt casks, creating a smooth, smoky dram with a flicker of heat at the finish.
Honouring Walter Scott, 1st Lord of Buccleuch, who famously defied Queen Elizabeth I, this blend celebrates Border bravery. Combining Lowland grain with Highland and Speyside malts aged in sherry, wine and madeira casks, it delivers bold character and elegant complexity.
Named for the malevolent sprite said to haunt Hermitage Castle, this whisky evokes the mischief and dark charm of legend. A blend of four 15-year-old whiskies aged in oloroso, madeira and bourbon casks, both first-fill and refill, revealing layers of red fruit, honey and spice.
Drawing from the 17th-century tale of the blind fiddler who played with spirits and saints alike, Wandering Willie blends history with craft. Speyside and Highland malts from 2009, aged in refill hogsheads and finished in double-toasted virgin European oak, then married in a 1000L French oak foudre.
Inspired by James Hutton, the father of modern geology, this whisky reflects his discovery of deep time and earth’s endless cycles. Distilled on Speyside from two distilleries, matured in re-charred hogsheads, then aged in first-fill bourbon and oloroso sherry casks for layered complexity.
Recalling Scotland’s ill-fated Darien Scheme, this release captures the ambition and loss of that grand colonial dream. A blend of 12-year-old Panamanian and 20-year-old Trinidadian rums, re-aged in Spanish oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks for rich sweetness and depth.
A tribute to the infamous privateer turned pirate, whose legend endures on the tides of truth and myth alike. This Jamaican rum blends 2000 and 2005 vintages from bourbon barrels, finished in peated quarter casks and married in refill butts for a smoky, tropical finish.
