Notre whisky est façonné par Skye autant que par nous. Des deux ruisseaux qui nous alimentent de l'eau de source la plus pure de l'île, au climat capricieux qui régit le rythme de la distillerie, en passant par l'inspiration que nous puisons dans la beauté sauvage des paysages qui nous entourent, notre whisky n'est qu'une expression supplémentaire de Skye, mais avec passion et détermination, nous laissons aussi notre empreinte. Torabhaig est un whisky de Skye de bout en bout, mais c'est aussi incontestablement notre whisky de Skye, aussi complexe et fascinant que sa terre d'origine. Un whisky façonné par Skye, mais élaboré par Torabhaig.

The Whisky

We love exploring subtle flavours of peat inspired by our beautiful surroundings and thriving community. We create elegant smoke flavours - a house style called ‘smoke with taste’.

This single malt whisky is made using a mix of concerto and laureate malted barely with an in-gran phenol level of 78+ PPM and in-glass Phenols level of 14.5 PPM. It is fermented with pinnacle MG+ year and aged solely in Quercus Alba American Oak. It is bottles at 46% with not chill-filtration colouring.

Tasting Notes

Nose: Notes of delicate orange lead followed by touches of apricot and popcorn lending sweetness to the maritime seaweed that echoes in the glass. Subtle pipe tobacco adds to the elegant smokiness and is rounded out by honey, vanilla and boiled sweets.

Palate: Light and zesty oak spice is joined by the rich and sweet bonfire smokiness that is so unmistakably Torabhaig spirit. Subtley waxy with hints of honey and vanilla balancing sea salt and seaweed that ebbs away to white pepper and sweet spice.

Finish : Like a sunset over the Sound of Sleat, this is lingering and elegant with notes of honey, storms and the ocean.
